Enchanted Terraces

Nearly 50 years of love and hard work have transformed a Rolling Hills chaparral hillside into a series of lush terraces, dotted with intimate seating areas.  The gardens frame the charming cottage and its separate guesthouse/study. Inside the cozy buildings are massive stone fireplaces complemented by French country furniture, lovingly collected by the owners.  Hidden amid the greenery are 17 separate seating areas, including a “built-to-order” ruin of an old Texas stackstone house, a stone-bordered lap pool accented with Cypress trees and grape arbor, plus the ultimate potting shed of any gardener’s dreams. Extra surprises delight, including the bridge that crosses the Johns Canyon dry creek bed, a rustic tree house, and the amusing outdoor topiary “guest bedroom.”
