SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
Your privacy is critically important to us. At The Circle we have a few fundamental principles:
- We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
- We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
- We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please contact us.
It is The Circle's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.
Like most website operators, The Circle collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The Circle's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how The Circle's visitors use its website. From time to time, The Circle may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
The Circle also collects potentially personally-identifying information that is collected by Google Analytics. The analytics feature The Circle has implemented is based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the Doubleclick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting). Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customer Display Network ads using Ads Settings.
The Circle will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected from Google Display Advertising features that is based on the DoubleClick cookie unless The Circle has robust notice of, and the user's prior affirmative (i.e., opt-in) consent to, that merger. The Circle also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. The Circle only discloses logged in user IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
At any time, visitors may choose to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The Circle uses the Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting feature to identify trends in the usage of its website which may be published in reports for internal use.
The Circle may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. The Circle may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, The Circle does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
